The SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM) application provides a cockpit to view manufacturing data for staging and consumption. The application also improves the expected goods receipt process by considering by-products.

The product feature EWM Integration into Manufacturing 2 (business function LOG_PP_EWM_MAN_2) enables you to use the new production material request business object in SAP Extended Warehouse Management (SAP EWM). By using production material requests, you can carry out material staging and consumption in SAP EWM without having to generate deliveries in SAP ERP.

This product feature also enables the system to consider by-products when generating expected goods receipts in SAP EWM.
