Information Center with Technical Object List (POWL)

On the SAP Web UI for Plant Maintenance, the Master Data Overview provides a new, individually configurable worklist (POWL) for processing technical objects. The Technical Object List displays the most essential information in a table and allows you to process pieces of equipment and functional locations individually, change their status, as well as carry out mass data changes.

In the enhanced Master Data Information Center in the new screen area Lists, you can access the Technical Object List and the Maintenance Plan and Maintenance Item List. In the Direct Access screen area, you can now directly access task lists and maintenance plans in addition to technical objects.

Additional Details

The Technical Object List can also be opened in the Master Data Information Center and provides the following processing options:

  • You can define individual worklists with specific selection criteria for pieces of equipment and functional locations.

With the Technical Object Type you can specify whether you want the system to display all technical objects in the results list, just pieces of equipment, or just functional locations. You can use selection criteria such as general data, master data, maintenance data, or location data of the technical object.

  • You can change how the information about the technical objects is displayed by configuring the layout of the Technical Object List.

  • You can navigate from the list to the technical objects and process them.

  • You can change the system status of one or more technical objects.

To do so, select one or more rows and choose Set Technical Object Status. Only those statuses are available that can currently be set for at least one of the selected objects.

  • Icons in the table column Changed indicate which technical objects the system was able to change successfully.

  • You can print the results list of your query as a PDF document.

The business add-ins (BAdIs) BAdI: Mass Change of Equipment Data in Web UI (IEQM_MASS_CHANGE2) and BAdI: Mass Change of Functional Location Data in Web UI (ILOM_MASS_CHANGE2) are available for making customer-specific enhancements to the mass data change function for technical objects.
