if the product that the customer requires is not available and must be procured. The system creates
temporary requirements
at the same time. The temporary requirements is assigned the same
ATP category
as the checked requirement. If you are checking a sales order in a CTP check, the system displays the temporary requirement with the ATP category
BM (Sales Order)
. The temporary requirement is then assigned to the temporary planned order. This assignment cannot be changed. This ensures a temporary quantity is assigned. The temporary planned order is protected from a planning run that is triggered by concurrent transactions.
The system deletes the
temporary requirement
after the sales order is saved as the sales order is then transferred to SAP APO. See also:
