You use this function to define the responsibilities for replenishment planning and processing in the Replenishment Workbench for Stores in the back end (SCM system at headquarters) and in the front end (Replenishment Workbench for Stores). You define the assignment to the store centrally, at company level and then carry out responsibility management decentrally in the individual stores. Store associates (for example, the store manager) can only execute replenishment functions for the store(s) in the front end to which they have been assigned in the back end.
If you want to manage the responsibilities, you must have have the required user authorization and role.
With the necessary authorizations, the associate can perform the following tasks in the store (in the front end), for example:
Create authorizations and standard logons
Display purchase orders in the assortment tree
Define views of the product hierarchy
Display according to vendors, vendor subrange, merchandise categories, and so on
Define responsibility by product hierarchy and replenishment planner
Define a replacement during periods of absence (holiday/illness)
Carry out check functions for missing or duplicate responsibilities
In Customizing, you define the responsibility profiles for replenishment planning for the company, which apply for one or more stores, depending on the configuration. In the responsibility profile, you first define the responsibility types that the system uses to display purchase order items in the assortment view according to the following criteria:
Merchandise category hierarchy
Merchandise category
Replenishment planner
Layout

If you try to make settings in a store when you do not have the correct responsibility type or user assignment, the system issues an message. Only authorized employees can change the responsibility profiles in the SAP Reference IMG in the Customizing table 'RWBS Responsibility Profiles'.
