Product Interchangeability in a Stock Transfer Scenario
Use
In a stock transfer scenario, SAP APO can only take product interchangeability (InC) into consideration throughout the planning phase and the execution phase on the condition that a product has already been substituted by another product in the destination location. In order that requirements are forwarded in the destination location:
The supersession chains in the source location and the destination location have to be identical
All products in a supersession chain in the destination location have to be procured from the source location
In the source location, the system does not forward surplus product stock to a stock transfer requirement for a successor product, but always creates a receipt for the required successor product for a stock transfer requirement.
