If a heuristic for
planning standard lots
(for example, the standard heuristic SAP_PP_002 or SAP_PP_SL001) should consider the shelf life conditions during planning, the
standard net requirements calculation
only offsets stocks, receipts and requirements with compatible shelf life data.
You should
not
have set the
consider fixed receipts first
indicator in the heuristic settings. The net requirements calculation must therefore use the
minimize alerts
procedure.
So that the net requirements calculation can offset a stock or receipt element with a requirements element, the elements must fulfill the following shelf life conditions:
The stock or receipt element must have completed the maturation time by the requirements date
The stock or receipt element must keep until at least the required minimum shelf life of the requirements element
The stock or receipt element may keep at most until the required maximum shelf life of the requirements element
Firmed receipt elements for which the heuristic does not find any suitable uncovered requirements create a surplus. The
Alert Monitor
can
display alerts
for surpluses with limited shelf life. The heuristic creates procurement proposals for the uncovered requirements in the further planning process.
