 Creating a Model

Procedure

  1. From the SAP menu, Start of the navigation path choose Master Data Next navigation step Supply Chain Engineer Next navigation step Maintain Model End of the navigation path . You can also create a model under Start of the navigation path Master Data Next navigation step Planning Version Management Next navigation step Model and Version Management End of the navigation path .

  2. The Supply Chain Engineer:Choose Model screen appears. Enter the name of the model. On this screen, you also have the option of displaying or changing an existing model.

  3. Choose Create .

The Supply Chain Engineer initial screen appears.

    Note Note

You can create a work area at the same time as you create a model. However, this step is optional at this point. The purpose of the work area is to restrict the number of objects you want to work with at any given time. It makes sense to create the complete supply chain model first, and then create the necessary work areas. If you do not enter a work area when you create the model, you will have an unnamed, user-dependent work area containing your entire model.

    End of the note.
