Your page contains connectable content items.
Web Page Composer provides a graphical connection editor that displays all the connectable items of a page. You define a connection by dragging a line from an out port of a content item to an in port of another content item. As a result, the Parameter Mapping dialog box appears, to enable you to map between source parameters and target parameters. The Parameter Mapping dialog box also displays the list of tags for each parameter, when available.
The list of tags includes tags predefined by the developer, tags added in the Settings editor by the administrator, as well as tags that are automatically added as a result of prior connections. You can edit the list of tags in the Settings editor, as explained in Managing Connection Ports and Parameters .
To facilitate the task of defining connections, the graphical connection editor provides suggestions for possible connections between content items. These suggestions are based on various data, such as prior connections between ports, parameter tags and parameter names. When dragging from an out port of a content item, the graphical connection editor highlights all the ports that can be a target port for the connection. When you select a suggested target port, then the Parameter Mapping dialog box also provides suggestions for the parameter mapping.
