  Manual Sequencing

Use

You can use this heuristic to do the following in the DS planning board :

  • Create a scheduling sequence of your choice for a group of selected scheduled operations

  • Subsequently schedule the operations in this sequence

  • Deallocate operations and schedule deallocated operations

In the DS planning board, you can manually put selected operations into a new sequence on a graphical list interface when you call up the heuristic.

Note Note

Due to the fact that you create the operation sequence manually when calling up the heuristic, you cannot use this heuristic in the production planning run .

End of the note.

Features

The list interface in divided into two sections, between which you can shift operations using Drag&Drop. In the left section, you sort the list of operations to be rescheduled in the desired sequence. Depending on whether you have set the Deallocate indicator in the heuristic settings, the right screen section has different functions:

  • If you have not set the Deallocate indicator, you can use the right screen area as a work area and temporary store for operations. You can also put the operations that are not to be rescheduled in this area.

  • If you have set the Deallocate indicator, the right screen area contains all deallocated operations. If you shift a deallocated operation to the left area, the heuristic schedules this in the sequence specified. If you shift operations from the left area to the right, the heuristic deallocates them.

When you have created the operation list, you can start rescheduling. You define the rescheduling strategy settings in the heuristic settings.

This heuristic uses the function module /SAPAPO/HEUR_PLAN_SEQUENCE_MAN.
