 User Profiles in iPPE

Use

The iPPE application covers several areas of master data maintenance, which means that users can create and edit a large amount of different data. User profiles preselect and restrict the quantity of data available for predefined work areas in iPPE, making it easier to work with the data.

Features

  • You can create new user profiles for iPPE Workbench Professional and copy existing profiles.

  • You can edit the detailed settings for the standard SAP user profiles and for those that you define yourself.

  • You can assign one or more user profiles to individual users.

  • You have the option of defining a standard profile that is valid for all users that start iPPE Workbench Professional but do not have a user profile assigned to them.

  • To assign one or more user profiles to a user, choose Start of the navigation path Integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE) Next navigation step User Assignment: iPPE Workbench End of the navigation path .

    In iPPE Workbench Professional , the system displays all the profiles assigned to your user under Start of the navigation path Extras Next navigation step Choose Standard Profile End of the navigation path . The currently active profile and the standard profile are indicated. You can switch between the profiles and redefine which is to be your standard profile.
