You can use this function to define the criteria that the system uses to select location products for the Product Workbench worklist.
You can specify the parameters that you want SAP F&R to use for selecting the location products and save these settings in a selection variant. You can specify it as the default variant, which the system uses automatically the next time the view is called. In this case, the system skips the selection screen and calculates the worklist based on your parameters.
You can use a number of different selection criteria, which the system groups as follows:
Location-specific
You can restrict selection to internal or external suppliers, for example, or to specific source and destination locations.
Product-specific
You can restrict selection to products, for example, or to various product groups, replenishment types, or location products that are listed, new, or part of a substitution for a follow-up product or replacement product. You can also restrict selection to critical location products (which may not contain any forecast data, for example, depending on your Customizing settings).
Order proposal-specific
You can restrict selection to order proposals with a specific status, for example, to location products in locked order proposals, or to order proposal items that have not been delivered or are backordered. You can exclude products with order proposals from selection or only select products with order proposals.
Exception-specific
You can restrict selection to location products with certain exception numbers, for example, to location products with a strongly positive or strongly negative trend, or to location products with high
priority.
Note
You have to restrict selection to at least one of the following criteria:
Product
Product hierarchy
Merchandise category
Layout
External supplier
Distribution center as delivery location
Store as delivery location
Distribution center as receiving location
Store as receiving location
