You can display the following information on the Supersession tab page:

Field Name

Information

Group No.

Displays the number of the interchangeability group to which the product belongs. You can create, display, and change the number of the interchangeability group in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen. To display this screen, on the SAP Easy Access screen choose Start of the navigation path Advanced Planning and Optimization Next navigation step Master Data Next navigation step Application-Specific Master Data End of the navigation path.

Group Type

Displays the group type of the interchangeability group to which the product belongs. Group types are Substitution Chain or FFF Class, for example. You can create, display, and change group types in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Group Status

Displays the status of the interchangeability group. Examples of group statuses are Released and Locked.

Replacement Type

Displays the replacement type. Replacement types are for example One-to-One Supersession, One-to-Many Supersession (AND) and Many-to-One Supersession (OR). You can create, display, and change replacement types in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Item No.

Displays the item number. Item numbers identify the individual replacement steps within a group, as each group can contain multiple replacement steps. A group can contain the following replacement steps and item numbers, for example:

Item number 10: product A is replaced with product B on the 10.08.2006.

Item number 20: product B is replaced with product C on the 11.04.2007.

You can create, display, and change item numbers in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Pred. Product

If the selected product is the successor product for the supersession, in this field the system displays the predecessor product that is replaced by this product.

Qty Factor Pred.

Displays the factor that the system considers for the supersession. If three predecessor products can be replaced by one successor product as a result of optimizing production, for example, the factor is 3. If a predecessor product is replaced by one successor product, the factor is 1.

Succ.Product

If the selected product is the predecessor product for the supersession, in this field the system displays the successor product that replaces this product.

Qty Factor Succ.

Displays the factor that the system considers for the supersession. For example, if one successor product replaces a predecessor product, the factor is 1. If 4 successor products replace a predecessor product, the factor is 4.

Location

Displays the entry location of your bill of distribution (BOD).

Location Desc.

Displays the name of the entry location of your BOD.

Valid From

Displays the start date of the discontinuation period. You can create, display, and change the start date of the discontinuation period as a Valid-From Date in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Direction

Displays the use-up direction. Use-up directions are Forwards and Full. If you specify Forwards as a use-up direction, one product replaces another product. If you specify Full, both products are completely interchangeable.

You can create, display, and change the use-up direction in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Use-Up

Displays the use-up strategy. Use-up strategies specify whether the predecessor product is:

- To be used up

- Not to be used up, instead it is to be replaced by the successor product immediately

- To be used up in a restricted fashion, meaning until a particular date defined by you.

You can create, display, and change the use-up strategy in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Use-Up Date

If you have specified Restricted as the use-up strategy, this field displays the date until which the predecessor product must be used up at the latest. You can create, display, and change the use-up date in the master data for product- and location interchangeability on the Maintain Interchangeability Group screen.

Succ. Prod. Plng Date

Displays the successor product planning date.

Stk Exh. Warn. Date

Displays the stock exhaustion warning date.

Stk Exh. Date

If you are working without a use-up strategy, the system sets the stock exhaustion date to the current date. If you are working with a use-up strategy or a restricted use-up strategy, the system checks when the existing stock is used up, and copies this date as the stock exhaustion date.

Dem. Prcntge Split.

If the selected product is one of the successor products of a one-to-many substitution (OR), this field displays the percentage of demand from the predecessor product that the system is to take into the demand history of the successor product.
