You can execute the production planning run online immediately. However, you should only do this for small data quantities, for example if you want to execute planning for a few objects for test purposes.
Note
To prevent time-consuming jobs from adversely affecting the system response time in the interactive mode, the time for executing the report is limited. If a report runs for more than 5 minutes in the interactive mode, the system cancels the report automatically. You should therefore use background processing for extensive planning jobs.
In the
SAP Easy Access Menu
, choose
Enter the necessary data for the global settings.

If you want to use data that has already been saved as a variant, choose .
Enter the individual planning steps on the tab pages.
You can either navigate between the individual planning steps using the tab pages, or you can display a list of the planning steps by choosing the button on the extreme right, and calling a planning step from the list.
If you want to delete a planning step, choose
Delete Contents of Planning Step,
on the tab page of the planning step.
For an overview of all planning steps that you have entered, choose
Display Overview of Planning Steps
.
If you want to execute the production planning run at a later date using this data, use to save the current settings as variants.
Enter the planning objects (for example, resource or product) for a planning step, and confirm your entry.
Depending on the planning object in question, the system displays input fields for selecting the individual objects for the planning step.
Enter the objects that are to be processed.
Note
If you want to execute net change planning for a product using a PP heuristic, that is, if you only want to plan products with planning file entries, set the
with
planning file entry
indicator.
Choose
Execute
.
The system executes the production planning run immediately online.
