Purpose

The Performance Optimization IT process allows you to consider performance aspects in the running of your enterprise data warehouse. You use aggregates and the BI accelerator and you optimize cache behavior to improve the performance of BI queries when reading an InfoCube.  These performance-optimization measures increase user satisfaction when they execute their BI-related tasks.

Prerequisites

To run this process you require InfoProviders. You have defined these InfoProviders in the Data Modeling IT process.

Process Flow

  1. You define aggregates and implement caching strategies.
  2. You use BI accelerator

Result

You have optimized the performance of BI queries when accessing data.
