Units of Measure for the Procurement Quantity Calculation

Use

As standard, the values for the following parameters refer to the base unit of measure of the location product:

If necessary, you can also specify this data in an alternative unit of measure . The system takes this into account accordingly in the procurement quantity calculation.

Prerequisites

In order that the system uses the alternative unit of measure,

  • You must have specified the conversion of the alternative unit of measure into the base unit of measure in the location product master on the Units of Measure tab page

  • You must have specified an alternative unit of measure in the location product master on the Lot Size tab in the Lot Size Unit field

Example

  • The base unit of measure of a location product is Piece . If you enter 2 as fixed lot size, the receipt quantity of a receipt created automatically is 2 pieces

  • If you use Palette as an alternative unit of measure, and specify 2 as fixed lot size, the receipt quantity is 2 palettes. If according to the conversion a palette contains 24 pieces, the receipt quantity is 48 pieces.
