A mode is a state that determines the following:

Use

When a warehouse task (WT) is grouped into a warehouse order (WO), its mode is set as:

  • The mode assigned to the corresponding wave , if applicable.

    Note Note

You can assign a mode to a wave in one of the following ways:

    End of the note.
    • By defining the mode in the wave template (to do so, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Extended Warehouse Management Next navigation step Work Scheduling Next navigation step Wave Management Next navigation step /SCWM/WAVETMP – Maintain Wave Templates End of the navigation path )

    • By defining the mode in a wave directly (to do so, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Start of the navigation path Extended Warehouse Management Next navigation step Work Scheduling Next navigation step Wave Management Next navigation step /SCWM/WAVE – Maintain Wave End of the navigation path )

  • The mode assigned to the following determination criteria:

    • Warehouse

    • Activities associated with the WTs

      Note Note

You define modes and their determination criteria in Customizing for Start of the navigation path Extended Warehouse Management Next navigation step Cross-Process Settings Next navigation step Resource Management Next navigation step Define Modes. End of the navigation path

The mode is then used to calculate the LSDs and priorities of the WTs.

      End of the note.

When determining the LSD of the warehouse order containing the WTs, the system uses the rounding time interval of the mode of the first WT in the WT sequence.
