 Creating Product Structure Nodes in the Tabular Display

Use

You can create nodes for the product structure directly in the tabular display, without using the dialog box for creating iPPE objects or the detail screens . You can create access nodes, structure nodes, views, assembly groups and variant assembly item nodes.

If you have activated a focus context and loaded a focusinto the tabular display, you can also create focus nodes in the table ( focus accesses, focus structure nodes, focus views, focus assembly groups, focus VA items ).

Prerequisites

  • You are in change mode in the iPPE Workbench Professional.

  • You have accessed the tabular display in the iPPE Workbench Professional.

  • If required, you have activated a change number in the iPPE Workbench Professional.

Procedure

  1. Choose Create in the tabular display.

    The Create iPPE Object dialog box is displayed.

  2. Choose Product Variant Structure or Assembly . Enter the node type, the object name, select the class and class type, if required, and choose Create .

    The object is displayed with its name, class and class type in the navigation tree and in the tabular display.

    In the tabular display, the object is indicated as being on the hierarchy level .1 ( Level column). You can enter more data for the object in the tabular display.

  3. Save your entries.
