
You can broadcast BEx objects (queries, query views, Web templates and reports) to a printer.
BEx Broadcaster generates a spool request and sends it to the selected output device to print.
You selected Broadcast to Printer as the distribution type when creating the broadcast setting.
Defining the Output Format
Select the required output format.
You can select one of the following output formats:
The document is generated in the suitable format for the output device: PostScript (PS) or Printer Control Language (PCL)
BEx Broadcaster generates a PDF file.
Not all types of Web items for a BEx object can be exported to the PDF output format.

Defining Print Specifications
Make the following settings on the Print Specifications tab page:
You can only select devices that support the specified output format (PS, PCL, or PDF).
Selection.The system generates the document with the settings (date format for example) and authorizations of the specified user.
If you want to distribute the broadcast setting immediately, the system generates the document using the authorizations and settings of the current user who is logged on to the system and who defined the broadcast setting.
The system offers you a choice of the languages that are installed in the BW system.
If you want to distribute the broadcast setting immediately, the system generates the document using the logon language of the current user who is logged on to the system and who defined the broadcast setting.
Making General Settings for the Precalculation
Define any settings you require (for example, for variable assignment or exceptions) on the General Precalculation tab page.

Defining Texts for the Header and Footer
Define the texts for the header and footer of the print version on the Header/Footer tab page. You can also use text variables in the text.

Specifying Filter Navigation
On the Filter Navigation tab page, you can specify characteristics or a control query so that the system precalculates several documents with different filter settings from the same query or Web application.
