
You must have the required Process Integration Monitoring roles assigned to monitor the PI components. For more information, see Monitoring Roles .
You use this procedure to analyze the health check of the individual PI components and check whether all the individual health check metrics for a PI component are successful. You use the self-test to monitor the health check of a PI component.
Using the status indicators you can analyze the self-test results. The status indicator of the test result can be green, red, yellow, or gray. The overall self-test result for a PI component depends on the individual metric result and the least status indicator for the metric result represents
the overall self-test result. The overall self-test status will only have a green indicator (
) if all the individual health check metrics are green.
For non-central adapter engine the PI components that you can monitor are adapter engine and mapping runtime.
The table below shows the various status indicators and there meaning:

For any PI component, if the status indicator is
, it indicates that all the health check metrics are successful. If the status indicator is either

, it indicates that one of the health check metric or all the health check metrics has failed.
In the Self-Test table, in the Status column, test result of each health check metric is displayed.
