You can use this function to group several order proposals in one order proposal in order to achieve a greater order quantity (for example, where there are minimum order requirements).
You have defined grouping criteria in Customizing. For more information on grouping criteria, see the IMG of Forecasting and Replenishment
under .
You can only group released order proposals that are changeable (released, transferred, and locked order proposals cannot be changed).
You can combine multiple order proposals in one order proposal.
Then you can check the grouped order proposal according to the grouping criteria you have defined in Customizing. If the grouping criteria are not met, the system issues a message.
After grouping, the system deletes the original order proposals. This means that you cannot reverse the grouping process.
Note
Only select order proposals that have the same source and destination locations.
The system takes account of different order units when adding items with the same product number. The system converts the result of the order quantity into the smallest order unit of the original items.
If the order proposal items have different delivery dates, the system takes the earliest date of all the items. If all the delivery dates are in the past, the system enters the current date as the delivery date. The system also uses the earliest date of all the order proposal items for the planning date or the release date.
If you have activated rounding, the system observes the rounding rules.
A random grouping or splitting of existing order proposals (this can be performed only on the basis of the optimization criteria).
Examples of optimization criteria are:
Receiving location
Vendor
Vendor subrange
Planning date
Constraints:
The system does not check whether the delivery date can actually be met.
The system does not perform a check for vendor restrictions and release conditions.
From the worklist navigation tree, select the order proposals you wish to group manually and then choose Combine Order Proposals
