Function documentationInbound Interface for Demand Influencing Factors

You use this interface to import demand influencing factors into SAP F&R.

Integration

  • The system uses DIF occurrences in order to flag unusual or greatly modified consumption patterns that are due to temporary causes (for example, sales promotions or holidays such as Christmas).

  • Using the Business Add-In (/FRE/IF_CON_BADI_015), you can enrich and change the imported demand influencing factors. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Forecasting and Replenishment under Start of the navigation path Interfaces Next navigation step Enhancements Using Business Add-Ins Next navigation step BAdI: Demand Influencing Factors Enrichment End of the navigation path.

Prerequisites

  • In the sending system, you must define which factors SAP F&R is to consider as demand influencing factors.

  • Demand influencing factors must exist in SAP F&R for you to be able to assign them to the locations, products, location products, and location groups.

Features

You can import the following demand influencing factor information:

  • Basic data

  • Descriptions

    (language-dependent texts)

  • Assignment

This defines which demand influencing factor is relevant for which location product, product, or location group.

Activities

  1. The integrated sending system starts the transfer and calls appropriate function module for the interface in SAP F&R. For more information, see the Overview of the Interfaces in SAP F&R.

  2. You then post the data in SAP F&R.
