In the Product Workbench (PWB), you can restrict the selection of location products per target location type to those products that the system classifies as critical according to the configured Customizing criteria.
Example
You can classify location products with the following characteristics, for example, as critical:
Backlogged OPI
When you select with this criterion, the system checks whether the location product has a delivery date that lies in the past (with regard to the analysis period) and is not flagged as finally delivered.
Unmet OPI
When you select with this criterion, the system checks whether the location product is flagged as finally delivered within the analysis period, but the quantity actually delivered is less than the ordered quantity.
Strong trend
The trend can be positive or negative. The system checks whether the location product has one of the following exceptions – this is only possible after an FRP run:
205
(Consumption Peak for Location Product)
206
(Consumption Trough for Location Product)
You have defined the criteria that cause the location product to be classified as critical in Customizing of the Product Workbench. For more information, see the SAP Implementation Guide (IMG) for Forecasting and Replenishment
under .
The system takes exceptions into account regardless of their processing status (whether confirmed or not).
Since the Product Workbench supports exception-related exceptions and uses criteria for the critical
classification, you have to make sure your system meets the following prerequisites:
The programs that generate the exceptions that the PWB processes are executed regularly (for example, daily execution of the FRP run)
The generation of the above exceptions is not suppressed
No early reorganization of exceptions
The system takes the critical criteria into account when selecting location products (as OR operators) and displays them for critical location products in the worklist.
