Depending on how a DIF is defined, you can assign DIFs to locations (or location groups) and products, or to locations or location groups only. It is also possible to assign a DIF occurrence generically; that is, to all products or all locations.

You can select a range of products or locations (or location groups). These are then displayed in the Assignment List. For generic assignments, the list shows an asterisk instead of the location or product ID and description. The list can contain both existing and potential assignment records.

In the Detail View change mode, there is an additional column indicating the current status of a record:
