Using this function, you can delete switchover and switch back information on substitution assignments once the information is no longer required.

Prerequisites

You can only delete switchover information where the end of the merge period lies before the historical period defined in the time series profile.

Features

  • If the end date of the merge period is older than the comparison date used, you can delete switchover information.

    The system determines the comparison date using the time series profile of the target location contained in the switchover information. The comparison date is that date lying furthest in the past that SAP F&R calculates from the current date and the number of historical periods of the following key figure parameters:

    • Aggregated store sales (AGG_ST_SLS)

    • Aggregated store orders(AGG_ST_ORD)

    • Consumption data (CONS_DATA)

  • You can restrict the selection of data records to be deleted using the location:

    You can specify that the system is also to delete switchovers for locations where the time series profile is either not created or is incomplete. In this case, the system uses the execution date of the program as a comparison date.

  • SAP F&R also deletes substitution assignments with deletion flags as soon as the system has deleted the last switchover information for these substitution assignments.

We recommend that you schedule deletion of obsolete switchover information periodically as a background job (report /FRE/UI_SUBSTSW_DELETE).
