Order Proposal Management
In order proposal management, you can manage the results of automatic forecasting and replenishment.
Integration
There must be order proposals in SAP F&R with which you can work. After processing and releasing the order proposals, you export them to a follow-up system where you can create purchase orders from the order proposals.
Features
In order proposal management you can bundle and release the optimized product requirements for order proposals. You can update the goods movements using the interface to the purchasing system, and use open goods movements for calculating requirements.
Configuration of the exceptions defines whether an exception is relevant for the release of an order proposal.
You can also define release conditions, to prevent the automatic release of order proposals. For example, you can automatically exclude all order proposals that have a specific, new product from the automatic release process. For more information, see Release Profile.
You can process order proposals that were not released in the Replenishment Workbench and then release them for the ordering process in a follow-up system. Once order proposals have been transported to the purchasing system, you can only change these order proposals in that system. For these changes to be reflected in SAP F&R, you have to import the changes from the purchasing system to SAP F&R.
Note
The values imported from the purchasing system form the basis of the requirements calculation and need to be available in SAP F&R regularly and, in any case, shortly before the requirements calculation. This ensures an up-to-date calculation basis.
If SAP F&R is also to consider open order proposals in the requirements calculation, these order proposals must be within the past periods for back orders. For more information, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) of Forecasting and Replenishment
