Checking Link Consistency
The system checks the validity of internal and external links every time you publish a page. You can also manually check link consistency for a page.
The system does not check the validity of the following links:

Links created in the HTML editor

Links in content items stored outside the page, for example, links in a Web content item created in the shared content folder of an area.
Portal administrators have configured the portal proxy for the HTTP protocol. If the portal proxy is not configured, links to external Web pages are marked as invalid.
To validate links manually, in the toolbar of the page editor choose

A new window opens displaying the results.
The link validity check marks the following as invalid:

Links to objects that are not published
-
Link items in empty Web forms
