Once you have published a Web page in the portal navigation once, editors can change this Web page online. This means that you do not have to navigate to the iView Web Page Composer → Web Site Management. Instead you navigate in the portal navigation like any other visitor and can change the page directly there.
You have published the Web page and site navigation structure once already.
Your administrator has integrated the site navigation structure in the portal navigation structure.
The Edit Page link is only visible for users who have write permission for the Web page.
If a Web page has multiple language variants or regional variants, you can only ever edit the variant currently displayed in the portal. For online editing, the editing language set in the Web Site Management iView does not play a role.
To return to the page editor afterwards, choose Back to Page Editor.
When you open a Web page for editing, the system sets a lock to prevent the page from being edited by another user at the same time. If you close the browser window without choosing Finish, this lock is retained. To other users, it appears that the Web page in question is still being edited by you.
If you choose Finish, the system removes the lock and you return to the portal.
