You can use this business function to enable the planner’s home page. The planner’s home page is a Web application that you can call up in the SAP NetWeaver Business Client. It is a start page that can be personalized easily and that you, as a supply chain planner, can use to display the information necessary to understand the priorities of your current tasks. It consists of several content blocks which contain information about and links to the most common activities.
The planner’s home page contains the following content blocks:
Alert Overview
Shows queries of an alert overview and allows you to navigate to the alert details showing the query result. From the alert details the user can navigate to the Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) applications, taking the context information of one or more alerts.
My Objects
Notes
Favorite Selections
Favorite Reports
The content blocks allow you to navigate to the respective interactive transactions in APO or to other applications for further work on the detailed data. Due to the user-specific nature of the information the planner's home page contains, it can easily be personalized in both content and layout.

A user must be assigned to the role APO Planner's Home Page
(SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME
) to be able to use the planner's home page.
You must have installed SAP NetWeaver Business Client 3.5 for Desktop to call the planner's home page from the SAP NetWeaver Business Client.
The planner's home page has the following features:
You can personalize the layout and content of the planner's home page so that it suits your daily work.
The planner's home page can support the work of the following supply chain planners:
Demand planner
Supply planner
Production planner
ATP planner
You can start an APO application with a predefined selection from the planner's home page.
After you have set up your favorite selections in the Favorite Selections
content block, you can choose a selection from the list of your
favorite selections and choose the target application from the context menu. The system displays only the applications that are compatible with the selection in the context menu.
You can start an application without context.
You can add applications to the role menu of the role APO Planner's Home Page
(SAP_SCM_PLN_HOME
). In this case, the system starts the application without
a predefined selection.
You can display and view the alert list and navigate from the alert list to the application that raised the alert.
You can view and monitor your favorite objects that you have set up in the My Objects
content block. Favorite objects can be location products, resources and characteristic value combinations (CVCs) in Demand Planning. You can display key performance
indicators (KPIs) for these objects.
You can start reports from the Favorite Reports
content block.
You can create and view notes.
You can use the Web Dynpro standard functions to personalize the planner's home page. For example, you can define which available columns are displayed in the My Objects
content block.
