Tab Page: Online Documentation 

Definition

On the Online Documentation tab page, you can determine if and which areas of online documentation are not to be generated. These selections are valid globally for all BI metadata objects.

Use

Online documentation for a BI object is constantly being updated from the metadata repository. For central objects, the where-used list or the data flow lists a large number of objects so that online documentation is extensive. In these cases, structuring online documentation can take a long time. Thus, on the Online Documentation tab page, you have the option of hiding the sections with links to objects that depend on online documentation.

Options on the online documentation tab page

Area of Online Documentation	What You Need to Know
Do not generate “Used by“	Where-used list: Links to online documentation for those objects that the current object uses are not generated.
Do not generate “Receives data from"	In data flow before: Links to online documentation for those objects that the current object receives data from are not generated.
Do not generate “Pass data on to”	In data flow after: Links to online documentation for those objects to which the current object sends data are not generated.

None of these options are marked as a default; accordingly, everything is generated.
