Transferring Global Settings 

Use

With this function you are able to transfer various types of table content from connected SAP source systems. The types of table content are units of currency, units of measure, fiscal year variants and factory calendars.

Prerequisites

The relevant tables have already been maintained in the SAP source system.

Procedure

       1.      Under Modeling, choose the source system tree in the Administrator Workbench.

       2.      Select your  SAP source system and choose Transfer Global Settings from the context menu. You reach the Transfer Global Settings: Selection screen.

       3.      Under Transfer Global Table Contents, select the settings that you want to transfer:

¡        Currencies to transfer all settings relevant to currency translation from the source system. For more information, see Transferring Global Table Contents for Currencies from SAP Systems.

¡        Units of measure to transfer settings for units of measure from the source system.

¡        Fiscal year variants to transfer settings for fiscal year variants from the source system.

¡        Factory calendars to transfer settings for factory calendars from the source system.

       4.      Under Mode you can specify whether the upload should just be simulated, and whether the settings are to be updated or transferred again. With the Update Tables option, existing records are updated. With the Rebuild Tables option, the corresponding tables are deleted before the new records are loaded.

       5.      Choose  Execute.
