Data Flow Control 

Purpose

The Data Flow Control IT process allows you to design and use InfoPackages for loading data and data transfer processes for further processing data within SAP NetWeaver BI. One available option is to use real-time data acquisition. In addition, you can define process chains to automate the complex process flow involved in running an enterprise data warehouse.

Use of the Process

Prerequisites

To run this process, you have performed Modeling the Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Process Flow

The following process runs in the BI usage type:

       1.      You define the data flow for all InfoProviders.

       2.      You determine the set up for real-time data acquisition.

       3.      You create process chains.

Result

You have defined the objects that are important in data flow control and can schedule the process chains.
