BEx Analyzer communicates errors, messages, and status information to you using message popups, the status bar, and the context menu. Special functionality about these communications is described below:

      Message popups

You can suppress the display of messages that appear in BEx Analyzer message popups. In these popups, you will see a Show Automatically checkbox. Deselect this checkbox to toggle the display of these messages off. When there next are messages, you will see the following notice appear in the status bar: Messages available; double-click to display them. Double-click the status bar itself to restore the display of messages to popups again.

      Status bar

When you navigate, it could take some time for the communications with the server to complete. During this time, the status bar displays BEx Analyzer is processing. Wait until the status bar displays Ready before you perform any operation in BEx Analyzer.

If you have suppressed the display of messages in popups, you will see the following notice appear in the status bar when messages occur: Messages available; double-click to display them. Double-click the status bar itself to restore the display of messages to popups again.

      Context menu

If you attempt to navigate the results of your query using the context menu while you are not connected to a system or before you have refreshed your workbook, only Refresh will appear in the context menu. Choose Refresh to establish your connection and refresh your query so that you may navigate.
