Use

You can use authorization templates when you create roles with the profile generator. These templates contain authorizations for roles and user tasks that were defined for BI. Each user role includes the authorizations required for executing basic user tasks.

The available templates are proposed automatically when editing a new role. You can also refer back to the templates when you change an existing role.

Features

The templates for BI user roles start with S_RS_R, with the exception of the roles for Business Planning, which start with S_RS_PL. The templates for BI user tasks start with S_RS_T. Data mining templates start with S_RS_DME.

In BI, the following roles are pre-set and can be used as templates for generating profiles:

In role maintenance, choose Utilities Templates to display the available templates, copy templates delivered by SAP, change the copies and create templates for yourself. To do so, you need the authorization User Master Record Maintenance: User Groups (S_USER_GRP) with value * in the fields CLASS and ACTVT. Names of SAP templates start with S. Templates you create yourself may not start with S.

You can subsequently edit authorizations from the templates in the role maintenance.
