Use

You can display technical information about the content of an InfoCube using the Manage InfoCube function. You can perform administrative tasks, such as constructing aggregates and deletion for an individual InfoCube. You can influence the load performance and the query performance by using the InfoCube content maintenance.

Prerequisites

The InfoCube is active.

Features

The system displays the InfoCube in the top table. You only have to select an InfoCube from the InfoCubes available if you called InfoCube administration from the scheduler or the monitor.

After you have selected an InfoCube from the table in the upper half of the screen, you can display the InfoCube contents by choosing Contents in the toolbar. If you have not selected an InfoCube, you can display any number of dictionary tables that are relevant to InfoCube administration. Enter the table name in the subsequent dialog box. Choose Delete Contents to delete the contents of the InfoCube. You can also display an application log and a process overview.

InfoCube Content

You can display the dimensions of an InfoCube with the InfoObjects that belong to it.

Choose Cube or Fact Table to display the content of the InfoCube and the fact table and to delete them if required.

Performance

You can influence not only the load performance, but also the query performance. More information: InfoCube Performance

Requests in InfoCubes

You receive information on all requests that have run in the InfoCube and you can delete requests if required. More information: Requests in InfoCubes

Rolling Up InfoCubes

You can start rolling up the requests for setting up aggregates immediately or in the background. You can display existing aggregates for the InfoCube and the logs that belong to them.

If activated aggregates exist for the InfoCube and you are loading new requests into the InfoCube, you also have to roll up these into the aggregates. Only then does the system take these new requests into account when executing a query.

Automatic Further Processing

If you still use a 3.x InfoPackage to load data, you can activate several automatisms to further process the data in the InfoCube. If you use the data transfer process and process chains that SAP recommends you use, you cannot however use these automatisms.

Reconstructing InfoCubes

This function is only necessary for InfoCubes that obtained their data from 3.x InfoPackages.

You can reconstruct an InfoCube from the requests that are already uploaded. You can use these requests to reconstruct the current InfoCube or construct another InfoCube.

Archiving

If you have created a data archiving process, you also see the Archiving tab page in InfoCube administration.
