 Creating FFF Subsets

You use this procedure to create Form-Fit-Function (FFF) subsets for an FFF class .

You can create FFF subsets in two ways:

  • Creating FFF subsets manually

  • Generating subsets from existing FFF classes

Prerequisites

  • You have assigned the products to the locations where the interchangeability groups are created.

  • You have created FFF classes.

  3. In the application toolbar, choose Generate FFF Subset .

The Mass Generation of FFF Subsets from FFF Class screen appears.

  4. Enter the FFF Class group number or the range of FFF classes for which you want to create subsets.

  5. Enter a Location or range of locations for which you want to generate the FFF subset.

  6. You can choose the following options:

    • Active Model off

If you set this indicator, the current model will not be considered for the FFF subsets.

    • Assign Lead Part Manually

If you want to select the leading product of the FFF subset manually set the Assign Lead Part Manually indicator. Otherwise the system determines the lead product automatically. The system takes the first member of the FFF class.

    • Allow User Change

If you set this indicator, you can select the FFF subsets manually from a list that will be generated by the system after executing the mass generation.

  7. Choose Execute.

Analyze the log regarding any errors that occurred when creating the subsets.
