Procedure documentation Making Currency Translations  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

At the runtime for a BEx Web application, you can determine the currency into which all currency-dependent structure components of a query are to be translated.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the context menu of the Web application choose Calculations and Translations Global Currency Translation.

       2.      You have the following options for changing the currency of all currency-dependent structure components:

-         Display Original Currency (= default setting). You can go back to the original currency that was changed here.

-         To translate currency:

                            a.      Select a currency in the Currency dropdown box.

                            b.      Select a translation type in the Currency Translation dropdown box.

Note

The selection options in the Currency and Currency Translation dropdown boxes are dependent on each other. Depending on the currency you set, the system only offers you translation types that support this currency. To be able to display all translation types again, choose the standard setting Display Original Currency. Conversely, the system limits the currency options if you select a particular translation type.

                            c.

To take a translation type from the query definition into consideration, mark the corresponding checkbox.

Note

This function is only available if you selected a currency translation type for this query in the Query Designer.

       3.      Choose OK.

Result

The key figures and structure elements are translated into the selected currency.

Note

By choosing Advanced, the dialog box Query View Properties appears, allowing you to make further settings if required. For more information, see Data Provider Properties

For more information about currency conversion, see Currency Translation in the Business Explorer.
