Standard Net Requirements Calculation With the exception of the standard heuristic SAP_PP_003 for
planning shortage quantities
, the procurement planning heuristics use the standard net requirements calculation, which has requirements only consume
fixed
PP/DS and SNP receipts. You use the
offsetting procedure
to define the sequence in which the standard net requirements calculation has the requirements consume the receipts. The standard net requirements calculation is able to take account of the shelf life data of requirements and receipts.
If you want the standard net requirements calculation to consider the shelf life data of requirements and receipts, you must have set the
Planning with Shelf Life
indicator in the heuristic settings
Before the net requirements calculation, the procurement planning heuristic deletes the unfixed SNP receipts in the PP/DS horizon. After the net requirements calculation, the heuristic executes a procurement quantity calculation for the uncovered requirements and creates new receipts. Using the reuse mode in the heuristic settings, you define:
Whether the heuristic actually uses the new receipts or
Whether the heuristic deletes the new receipts again and uses suitable old receipts
