Procedure documentation Further Processing Data from the Delta Queue  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

If the data in the delta queue for a DataSource is available in SAP BW, you can process it further using the usual staging methods for deltas and then you can update it to data targets in SAP BW.

Prerequisites

You have sent the data to the delta queue of a DataSource in SAP BW using the SOAP service, a Web services or SAP XI.

Procedure

...

       1.      Create an InfoPackage in the Modeling InfoSource tree of the Administrator Workbench under InfoSources Your Application Component Your InfoSource for Requesting Data myself BW System, or change the InfoPackage you used for initialization.

       2.      Edit the InfoPackage and, on the Update tag page, choose Delta Update as the update mode.

The selection of the update mode for the file DataSource (which you ran on the DataSource/Transfer Structure tab page in the transfer rules maintenance) affects the delta process for the data.

If you have chosen the update mode Additive Delta (ODS and InfoCube) at the file DataSource, the delta process is the ABR process for the data. This means that the delta is created from after, before, and reverse images that have to be delivered from the data source.

If you selected the update modi Full Upload (ODS and InfoCube) or New Status for Changed Records (only ODS object), the delta process is the AIM process for the data. This means that the delta is created from after images that have to be delivered from the data source.

       3.      Schedule the data request.

Recommendation

We recommend that you do not load the data more frequently than once an hour from the delta queue.
