Procedure documentation Reloading Archived Data  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can load data from an InfoProvider that is archived based on ADK using a data archiving process or that was stored in near-line storage back into the same InfoProvider. This physically restores the data of the InfoProvider and sets the archiving request to invalid.

The reload request is directly related to the archiving request for which it was created. If the process is terminated, you can mark the reload request as invalid and create another reload request.

Note

You can only load the data back into the original InfoProvider using the reload function, and not with a data transfer process.

Procedure

For pure near-line storage archiving:

...

       1.      You are in the InfoProvider’s administration transaction.

       2.      You can create a reload request by choosing the pushbutton in the Overall Status column of the completed request.

For archiving using the ADK:

...

       1.      You are in Archive Administration (transaction SARA).

       2.      Choose Goto Reload.

Caution

With write-optimized DataStore objects, you should always reload seamless time periods. If you do not do this, the DataStore object will become inconsistent. This is not checked by the ADK.
