Use

A search function to search for specific single values is available in the input help dialog box.

When you use this search function, the system searches in all values for a characteristic. If there are more values than the number of values that can be displayed in the input help dialog box, the search also incorporates those values that are not displayed.

Prerequisites

You have called the input help dialog box using one of the following options:

      In the context menu for a characteristic, structure, or structural component, you have selected Filter Select Filter Value in the Web application.

      From the filter pane of the Web application, you can navigate to the relevant characteristic or structure by selecting Edit in the dropdown list box.

      You can navigate to the input help from the variable screen by choosing the This graphic is explained in the accompanying text icon in the input field for the relevant characteristic.

Procedure

...

       1.      Under Display Tool, choose Single Values Only and under Display View, choose Search.

       2.      Assuming the characteristic has a text, you can specify whether you want to search in the text or in the key.

       3.      Enter the required values in the empty field:

       When searching within texts, you can search with wildcards (*), for example, using *e* or A*.

       When searching within keys, you can enter an external value such as 3. Note that you need to adhere to the required syntax.

       4.      Choose Find. All values that satisfy the search criteria are displayed in the list.

       5.      Select the required value and choose Add.

       6.      Choose OK.

Result

You have selected the required single value using the search.
