Screen Areas in Report Designer

As well as menu and toolbars (see Functions in the Report Designer Menu Bar) containing most of the functions you need when creating reports, Report Designer also contains the following screen areas:

●      Design Area

●      Field Catalog

●      Report Structure

●      Format Catalog

●      Properties

Interaction Types

Drag and Drop

You can drag report elements from the field catalog, report structure, and format catalog screen areas to the design area. You can also use drag and drop to move fields within the design area. You can also select multiple fields and move them using Copy & Paste.

Context Menu

The design area, report structure and the format catalog contain a context menu offering various functions for creating reports.
