Special Features of Calculated Key Figures and Formulas 

If a row or column is determined by a formula or a calculated key figure, the system uses the common selections of all columns/rows that are a part of the calculation for the selection condition of the cell.

The first column of a report is restricted to year 2002 and month 01; the second column is restricted to year 2003 and month 01. The third column contains the difference between columns 1 and 2. The system uses the selection month=01 in the calculation for the third column. The year is not a part of this selection as it is restricted differently in columns 1 and 2.
