Use

You can make various user-specific settings to personalize input help functions.

Procedure

       1.      In the input help dialog box, choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Settings. The User Settings dialog box appears.

       2.      On the General Display tab page, make the required setting for displaying the values.

       Default: The values are displayed with the standard value. The system determines the default value from the setting in the Query Designer or from the setting in InfoObject maintenance for the characteristic.

       Custom: You can display the values as Key, Key and Text, Text and Key, or Text. Under Text Type, you select whether the Short Text, Long Text, or Medium Text is to be displayed.

Note

Depending on whether there are texts for the characteristic and which text types are maintained, the system displays the available options.

       3.      On the Value Restrictions tab page, specify the number of values to be displayed and exactly which values the system is to display.

You have the following options:

       Default

The setting from InfoObject maintenance determines which values are displayed.

       Custom

       Only Posted Values for Navigation

The system displays posted values only.

       Only Values in InfoProvider

The system displays only those values that are in the InfoProvider.

       Values in Master Data Table

The system displays all characteristic values from the master data, independently of transaction data.

       4.      On the Value Help Dialog tab page, specify whether the attributes for the characteristic are to be displayed in the input help in the Single Values view.

       Default (No Attributes): The attributes are not displayed.

       Custom: Select the required attributes in the left selection window and choose the arrow pointing to the right. The selected attributes are added to the right window.

       5.      Select Use These Settings Next Time.

       6.      Choose OK.

Result

You have made the required user-specific settings for the input help dialog. When you call the input help dialog again, it is displayed with the settings you made.
