Working with Documents in BEx Analyzer 

Use

In BEx Analyzer (BEx Web runtime, ABAP), you can display, create, and edit documents that have been created in the Data Warehousing Workbench, in the master data maintenance, or in a Web application. In the query view, you specify the type of documents that you want to display.

 Migrated documents are not available in BEx Analyzer. You should therefore only migrate documents if you do not use BEx Analyzer or do not use it in connection with documents.

Procedure

       1.      In the Context Menu for Selected Cell, choose Query Properties to display document links to master data, metadata, and transaction data.

       2.      Choose the Display Options tab page.

       3.      Set the documents indicator for the data you want to display.

       4.      In the context menu for the cell, choose Goto → Documents or choose the corresponding document icon to display documents for data cells for master data and transaction data.

This opens the document browser. Here, you can display documents, create a new text document, insert new formatted text, or upload an existing document.

       5.      Choose New → Comment, Formatted Text or Upload.

       6.      To display additional information about the document, choose View and set the indicator for the respective columns that you want to display: Name, Content, Assignment, Author.
