Creating a UD Connect Source System 

Prerequisites

You have defined the connection to the data source with its source objects on the J2EE Engine in an SAP system, .

You have created the RFC destinations on the J2EE Engine (in an SAP system) and in BI in order to enable communication between the J2EE Engine and BI. For more information, see the Implementation Guide for SAP NetWeaver → Business Intelligence → UDI Settings by Usage Scenarios → UD Connect Settings.

Procedure

...

       1.      In the source system tree in Data Warehousing Workbench, choose Create in the context menu for the UD Connect folder.

       2.      Select the required RFC Destination for the J2EE Engine.

       3.      Specify a logical system name.

       4.      Select JDBC as the connector type.

       5.      Select the name of the connector.

       6.      Specify the name of the source system if it has not already been derived from the logical system name.

       7.      Choose Continue.

Result

When the destinations are used, the settings required for communication between BI and the J2EE are created in BI.
