Use

In archive administration for request administration data, archiving sessions are displayed. Here you can execute various functions for the archiving sessions and the request administration data in the archiving sessions.

Features

The system displays administration information for the archiving sessions, such as the archive name, status, date and time of the archiving session, and the user who performed the archiving session. In addition, the system shows, for each archiving session, the total number of requests with archived administration data in the archive, the number of requests that have not been reloaded, and the number of requests that have been reloaded. Equally, the total size of the archive is shown (in bytes) along with the size of the requests that have not been reloaded and the size of the requests that have been reloaded.

You can carry out the following activities in the archive administration for request administration data:

Go to the archive administration for the archive object BWREQARCH

You can schedule and execute the archiving of request administration data in the archive administration.

Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Create Archive.

Display requests with archived administration data for an archiving session

Select the required archiving session and choose Edit  Select.

An overview screen is displayed for the request for which the administration data was archived during this archiving session.

Display the selections for an archiving session

Select the required archiving session and choose Edit Archive Selections.

A screen showing the selections with which you have narrowed down the requests for the archiving session is displayed.

      Reorganize archiving sessions

If you edit a request that has archived administration data and the system automatically reloads this data, the administration data for the other requests in the archiving session remain in the archive files. After a period of time, a large number of archiving sessions may only contain administration data for a small number of archived requests.

Select the archiving sessions that you want to reorganize and choose Archive Reorganize Archives.

The system loads the administration data for the selected archiving session, which has not been yet reloaded, back into the database. It writes the sum of all this administration data to a new archive. The system automatically creates the new reorganized archive and deletes the data from the database.

      Compare archiving sessions

Select two archiving sessions and choose Archive Compare Archives. On the following screen, the system displays whether you have chosen overlapping selections for the archiving sessions. In this case, administration data for the same request may be written to two archives.

Delete archiving sessions from the archive administration in BI if they no longer contain administration data for the request

Select the archiving sessions that no longer contain archived data and choose Archive Delete.

The selected archiving sessions are deleted from archive administration in BI. Also delete the archives from the archive administration (transaction SARA).

Reload archived administration data for a request back into the database tables

Select an archiving session and choose Archive Reload. On the next screen, select the requests for which you want to reload administration data and choose Transfer. The administration data is loaded back to the database tables in dialog mode.
