In the Status and Tracking System, three authorization objects are assigned to the following user groups:

The technical administrator is responsible for executing Customizing for the STS.
You want to perform planning for a cost center. First the technical administrator creates a cost center hierarchy in the BI system and a subplan in the Status and Tracking System. He or she imports this hierarchy into the STS for the subplan.
The technical administrator can then assign a person responsible to each cost center in the cost center hierarchy. The person responsible can also be represented by a substitute.

Persons responsible are assigned to an area of responsibility (hierarchy node) within a subplan. They are either assigned to their own area of responsibility directly or are assigned as a substitute. They use the STS to:
● Jump to their own planning application
● Set a status for their own planning
● Monitor and set statuses for any people who report to them.
The person responsible for node cost center 4711 of the “cost center planning“ subplan logs on to planning session 1 in the STS. This allows him/her to obtain the detailed view for the cost center.

Planning coordinators monitor the whole planning process for at least one subplan and therefore possess special access rights in the STS.
For monitoring the subplan “cost center planning“ in planning session 1, the planning coordinator has a subplan and planning session-related monitor at his or her disposal. As the initial view, this monitor shows an overview of the entire cost center hierarchy with detailed information. The planning coordinator also has the option to change to a table view. Various filters are available in this view. In both views the planning coordinator has the ability to branch to a detailed view of an individual cost center (area of responsibility).
