In the scheduler in BI. you can specify control parameters for data transfer for individual DataSources. You can do this by choosing Schedulerà DataSource. Default Settings for Data transfer. This allows you to update transaction data to larger data packages in the PSA, for example. Smaller packages guarantee faster processing when you update master data in the dialog.
You can define the following parameters for DataSources and file DataSources from SAP source systems:
Control Parameter |
Update Mode |
Size of data package |
For all possible update modes |
Frequency with which the status IDocs are sent |
For all possible update modes |
|
|
You can still define the following parameters for DataSources from SAP source systems:
Control Parameter |
Update Mode |
Maximum number of data packages per request If there is an initial value, the system performs the data transfer according to the settings in the source system. A value 0 overwrites the setting in the source system. In this case, there is no limit. |
For delta and repeat requests |
The settings you made in the Scheduler override the settings made in extractor-customizing for SAP source systems for a particular DataSource and a particular update method.
Normally, you maintain the control parameters for data transfer from an SAP source system in the Customizing transaction for the extractors. You go to the Customizing transaction for the extractors from the context menu in the corresponding source system in the source system tree in Data Warehousing Workbench. Choose Business Information Warehouse à General Settings à Maintaining Control Parameters for Data Transfer to display or change the settings for the data transfer on source system level.
