Text Name

Displays the name of the text design item, which is generated automatically and is unique. This name is used in the BEx Analyzer → Design Toolbar menu to refer to a particular instance of the text design item.

General Tab Page

Data Providers

You assign an existing data provider to the text design item, create and assign a new one, or change or delete a data provider. The initial view of a data provider corresponds to the query view.

Range

You edit the coordinates for a cell or cells in this field to move or resize the text design item.

AutoFit

When this indicator is selected, the width of the cells in the text design item expands as needed to accommodate the contents.

Display Caption

You select this indicator to display the name of the text element in a field next to the actual text. This acts as a sort of label for each selected text element.

Constants Tab Page

After you select a data provider on the General tab page, the list of available constant text elements is displayed on this tab page. This includes:

●      Created By: The user who defined the query.

●      Last Changed By: The user who last changed the query definition so that the query was regenerated. Small changes that you can also make by using navigation are not real definition changes.

●      InfoProvider: The InfoProvider with the data reported on in the query.

●      Query Technical Name: Technical name for the query that you enter when you save it.

●      Query Description: Description of the query.

●      Key Date: The key date is the date for which time-dependent master data is selected. You specify the key date either in the query definition (query properties) or provide the value using a variable. If the key date has not been defined, then the system date is automatically made into the key date.

●      Changed On: This time indicates when the query definition was last changed.

●      Current User: The user who has this query open or has inserted it into a workbook.

●      Last Refreshed: When the query data was last refreshed. This is the time at which you display the text elements, since you are required to refresh the query to display the text elements.

●      Status of Data: Time at which the data of the last request (that could be analyzed for reporting) was posted in the InfoProvider. In the case of MultiProviders, the respective current InfoPackages are determined from the individual standard InfoCubes and the one with the latest date is used for the validity of the data. This shows a date and a time (in the local time zone).

●      Data From (Date): The date of the Status of Data text element.

●      Data From (Hour): The date of the Status of Data text element.

●      Status of Data From: (MultiProviders only)

●      Status of Data To: (MultiProviders only)

Select the indicator next to the text elements you want to display.

You can also choose from the following options:

●      Choose Select All to select all indicators and thereby all constants.

●      Choose Deselect All to deselect all indicators and thereby all constants.

Filters Tab Page

If global filters were configured for the query, the dimensions for which they were configured are listed on this tab page. Select the indicator next to the filters that you want to display.  Current filter values configured for the selected dimension are then displayed in the text element.

You can also choose from the following options:

●      Choose Select All to select all indicators and thereby display all filters.

●      Choose Deselect All to deselect all indicators and thereby disable display of all filters.

●      Select Display All Static Filter Values to display all the static filter values.
