Matrix Activities
Use
If you execute production planning with the Rapid Planning Matrix (RPM), and you have defined that an activity matrix is to be created during planning, then the SAP APO system generates the necessary activities for the planned order, with the help of this matrix. You can display the selected activities for the planned order on this detail screen.
Integration
You maintain the activities in the iPPE process structure. The process structure represents the super task list. During planning, the activity matrix selects which activities are necessary for the individual planned order, based on the components you have assigned to the activities.
Prerequisites
To display the matrix activities in the detail area, use a detail profile assigned to the detail screen IPPE_ACT. For more information about the profiles, see
Preparatory Measures
. You select the detail profile in the
User Settings.
You have used the Rapid Planning Matrix(RPM) for planning the component requirements and generated an activity matrix.

The following data is displayed from the activities matrix:
Activities from the activities matrix with start date and duration
Line segments, on which the activities are to take place

For more information about a planned order, select the planned order in the Order Overview and choose

The system transfers the planned order to the detail area.
